Kim Kardashian debuts strangely chic new heeled cast for her broken foot

Kim Kardashian may be a divisive figure, but you cannot deny her unwavering commitment to fashion. And yesterday, Kardashian once again demonstrated her ability to overlook any sort of comfort or practicality in favour of style. After sustaining a foot injury earlier this month, the 44-year-old reality star and entrepreneur has been continuing to live her life with her foot in a cast while still in full glam. But she took it to another level yesterday when she unveiled a custom-designed cast that mirrors the appearance of a chic wedge heel.
Kardashian shared an image on her Instagram Story showcasing her plaster-wrapped foot, crafted to resemble a high-heeled shoe. The innovative medical-chic design featured an open-toe area (gotta get the red pedicure in), and a wedge-like structure so that Kim would be level with her other foot, which was wearing a real heel.
Much like Victoria Beckham appearing at her own fashion show on crutches this March (and in fact, resulted in a huge boom in sales of black crutches), Kardashian seems committed to not letting her foot injury get in the way of her busy schedule (we all remember what she said about getting off your ass and working). Last week, she attended the opening of her SKIMS flagship store in New York City while utilising a knee scooter for mobility.
