Both Milan clubs are vying for his services and Mail Sport understands that any loan agreement could then into a two-year permanent deal at its conclusion. Walker was also left out of City's 8-0 FA Cup rout of Salford at the weekend, with Guardiola later revealing he had requested to 'explore the option' of playing abroad.

After the Brentford game one account wrote on X: 'Kyle Walker’s behavior is completely unacceptable. As club captain, failing to show up for matches is a disgrace. 'If you want to leave, do it with respect—this is not the way. Your lack of commitment has been a major factor in this disappointing campaign.'.

Kyle Walker has bit back at criticism that he 'failed to turn up' for Manchester City's 2-2 draw at Brentford. Pep Guardiola left his captain at home after he went to the club and asked to explore his options. But Walker who has been at City for seven and a half years, hit back: 'Failed to turn up?.

'I can’t be at Brentford and training at the same time. You may need to check your sources.'. Guardiola has admitted that he has not decided if Walker, 34, will play for the club again. Their next fixture is at Ipswich on Sunday. After the 8-0 vanquishing of Salford, the manager said: 'Two days ago Kyle asked to explore the options to play abroad at the end of his career.'.
