Legendary Doctor Who star Christopher Benjamin has tragically passed away just days after his 90th birthday it's been announced. The actor appeared in the sci-fi series in three different roles, alongside Tom Baker, Jon Pertwee, and later David Tennant's Doctor.
However be will best remembered as Henry Gordon Jago which he first played in 1977's Talons of Weng-Chiang, before reprising the role in numerous audio stories including his own spin off series Jago & Litefoot which aired between 2010 and 2021. Christopher also starred in numerous other iconic shows throughout his impressive career including The Avengers, The Forsythe Saga and 1995's Pride and Prejudice with Colin Firth.
Announcing the news, Fantom Events & Publishing took to X with a statement which read: 'We're very sad to hear the news of the passing of legendary actor Christopher Benjamin'. 'Chris graced many productions with his talent, and we were very fortunate to work him on numerous occasions and it was always a pleasure. Our thoughts and condolences are with his family and friends.'.
