Liam Payne's girlfriend is reportedly expected to be interviewed by Argentinian police following his death. Kate Cassidy was with Liam in the days leading to his tragic death in October this year but ultimately decided to return to Florida just two days before he died. The former One Direction singer tragically died aged just 31 in October. He fell from the third floor of a hotel. An autopsy ruled that Liam had died instantly after his fall which caused "multiple traumatic injuries" and subsequently led to "internal and external haemorrhage." Currently, police are wanting to question three people including Liam's friend, Roger Nores – who has refused.
Alleged dealer Braian Nahuel Paiz and Ezequiel David Pereyra, a former employee at the Buenos Aires hotel where Liam lost his life, said they were "retaining their right to remain silent" during their Zoom quiz on December 17 in front of Laura Bruniard. Nores, who has denied claims he abandoned his pal before he plunged from his third-floor balcony at the CasaSur Palermo Hotel, had followed suit by declining to answer police questions.
His defence lawyer told the judge he would be submitting a written statement to the court in the coming days, although no more details were given. The last two suspects, hotel chief receptionist Esteban Grassi and head of security Gilda Martin, were scheduled to be questioned on the week of December 16.
Now, sources claim Liam's girlfriend is open to assisting law enforcements with their investigation and is reportedly being lined up to be interviewed. Cassidy, 25, is not under investigation for any wrongdoing. Instead, the local authorities are hoping that she may be able to offer an insight into what happened to Liam during his final days. Kate will provide a witness statement to assist the ongoing investigation.
