Manchester United fought back from behind to earn a point against Premier League leaders Liverpool after Amad Diallo's late strike. Diallo swept home from Alejandro Garnacho's low cross to draw United back on level terms after Mohamed Salah's penalty had given the hosts the lead.
United made the shock breakthrough at Anfield after Lisandro Martinez crashed home, only for their fierce rivals to hit back minutes later through Cody Gakpo. Salah then coolly stroked home from the spot after Matthijs de Ligt was penalised for handball. But there was time for a late sting in the tail, Diallo tucking neatly beyond Alisson to help United stop the rot under Ruben Amorim.
