Liverpool forward Mohamed Salah left fans speculating over his future with a social media post on Monday. Salah scored Liverpool's second goal in their match against Manchester United on Sunday, beating Andre Onana to give Arne Slot's side the lead. They were unable to close out victory, though, with Amad earning a point for the visitors.

Before and after the game, there was plenty of discussion regarding the future of Salah and his team-mates Virgil van Dijk and Trent Alexander-Arnold. All three are out of contract at the end of the season and free to speak to overseas clubs over a potential pre-contract agreement.

The day after the game, Salah shared a photo of himself, Van Dijk and Alexander-Arnold. There was no caption added, but fans drew their own conclusions. "Notice the 3 players in the picture," one reply read. "This picture HAS to be intentional... right?" asked another.

While some feared the worst, others remained hopeful it might be a precursor to some contract renewals. "Hard to imagine LFC without 3 of you next season," another reply read, while a fourth described the trio as "The most important players in the squad".

Salah remains top of the Premier League scoring charts after his goal on Sunday, while he also leads the league for assists. After the draw, though, the future of the out-of-contract trio was debated once more. How many of Liverpool's out-of-contract stars will stay? Have your say in the comments section.

"There's some frustration from Liverpool supporters [Alexander-Arnold] could leave for free - he came for free, I've got no problem with that. It's his choice," former Liverpool defender Jamie Carragher said on Sky Sports. "When I'm talking about Trent, I'm disappointed with the Real Madrid stuff coming out and that being the focus before a big game, because the most important thing is Liverpool winning the game.".
