Liverpool's stance on Mo Salah and Virgil van Dijk after Trent Alexander-Arnold contract offer

Liverpool may be sweating over their chances of keeping Trent Alexander-Arnold, but they are more confident over contract talks with Mohamed Salah and Virgil van Dijk. All three players are out of contract at the end of the season and are yet to agree extensions, meaning they are now free to negotiate with clubs from overseas.
Real Madrid are long-term admirers of Alexander-Arnold and even made an approach to sign the right-back this week. Liverpool have, in turn, offered their homegrown star a huge five-year deal in a bid to keep him at Anfield beyond this season. And while the Reds are unsure whether that will be enough to keep Alexander-Arnold out of Real Madrid's clutches, the prognosis on Salah and Van Dijk is more promising.
As outlined by Mirror Football, Liverpool are 'more confident' of reaching agreements with Salah and Van Dijk over new two year deals in the coming months. While Alexander-Arnold has made headlines this week, speculation over Salah's future has also dominated the narrative at Anfield in recent weeks.
Salah has been in sensational form for Liverpool this season and tops the Premier League when it comes to both goals and assists this season, with 17 and 13 respectively. He, Van Dijk and Alexander-Arnold have all played a major part of Liverpool's dream start to life under Arne Slot, who succeeded Jurgen Klopp as head coach back in the summer.
