LUKE LITTLER has finally got his wish after making a cheeky dig at David Beckham. The darts sensation is a massive fan of the Manchester United legend and was sent a good luck text by him ahead of BBC Sports Personality of the Year. Littler, 17, finished as the runner-up to Olympic hero Keely Hodgkinson in the race for the award.

He shared a screenshot of his followers list on Instagram and showed that Beckham had started following him on the platform. He accompanied the snap with a heart-eyed and hailing hand emoji. Littler did not leave SPOTY empty-handed as he was named the BBC's Young Sports Personality of the Year.
The Warrington wizard said of winning his award: "It just goes to show how well I've done this year. CASINO SPECIAL - BEST CASINO WELCOME OFFERS. "But not only for myself changed the sport of darts [with] all the other professionals. "But I have played a big part in it.".
