A man has been accused of plotting a coordinated attack with a schoolgirl who shot dead her teacher and a fellow student at a Wisconsin school. FBI agents detained Alexander Paffendorf, 20, for allegedly plotting to coordinate with Nicole 'Samantha' Rupnow, the 15-year-old who opened fire at the Abundant Life Christian School on Monday. Police said Rupnow, who attended the school, killed a student and teacher and injured six others before killing herself with the handgun.

Paffendorf, of Carlsbad, in San Diego, California, was detained by FBI agents on suspicion of "plotting" a mass shooting in conjunction with Rupnow. Officials allege he told the shooter he planned to arm himself with "explosives and a gun" before attacking a government building.

An emergency gun violence restraining order seen by the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel states he admitted to the plans in an interview with FBI agents. The order states: "During an FBI interview, Paffendorf admitted to the FBI agents that he told Rupnow that he would arm himself with explosives and a gun that he would target a government building.".

The order adds that FBI agents had seen "messages from Paffendorf to Rupnow", with a San Diego judge approving the order on Tuesday, requiring the 20-year-old to surrender any firearms and ammunition. He was also prohibited from acquiring any more weaponry.
