A man has been charged over his alleged role in helping former soldier Daniel Khalife after he escaped from prison.
Imran Chowdury, 25, is accused of assisting Khalife after he escaped from HMP Wandsworth in September 2023.
Across the country and beyond, people intently followed the highly-publicised search as officers closed in on the former soldier, who shopped at Marks & Spencer, drank coffee at McDonald’s, and stole a hat from Mountain Warehouse during his time on the run.
Daniel Khalife, gripped the nation, as he lead police on a 75-hour nationwide manhunt involving dogs, scores of officers and search helicopters.
