Man City take action after Pep Guardiola transfer demand as THREE deals signed off

Manchester City could splash over £160m in January to fix Pep Guardiola’s glaring error - with four deals in the pipeline. The reigning Premier League champions have struggled this season and already sit 12 points behind current leaders Liverpool. That form comes after a summer window in which they were barely active.
They only made two summer signings - the first being £21m winger Savinho from fellow City Group club Troyes. Former club captain Ilkay Gundogan also returned after leaving Barcelona after just a solitary season. But Julian Alvarez’s sale to Atletico Madrid - as well as Rodri ’s long-term knee injury - has caused havoc at the Etihad. And Pep Guardiola even hinted at the time that a lack of additions could potentially come back and bite City, something that he has been proven right about.
Speaking in the summer, he said: "I'm happy with the squad. We didn't expect Julian was leaving, although he had conversations a long time ago with other clubs and his agent, so it could happen and in the end it happened. We saw what we have, if we have many, many injuries it will be a problem.
He added: "Maybe it is a mistake, I don't know but I don't like leaving players without playing for a long time. When everyone is involved with a chance to play the performance of the teams is always better. "I know the group and how serious and professional they are and their commitment in every single game. We are pretty sure it is better to wait.".
And City are now set to splash the cash following their quiet summer. They have already struck a deal to sign Lens defender Abdukodir for £33.5m and he will be joined by Palmeiras centre-back Vitor Reis, who will arrive at the Etihad Stadium for £29.5m.
