In a statement after Wilson’s sentencing, Kacem’s family said there were “no words” to express their grief.
Christopher Wilson, 23, was part of a gang carrying weapons who stabbed 18-year-old Kacem Mokrane in Walthamstow in November 2017.
Wilson is the fifth person to be convicted of Kacem’s murder, with four others convicted in June 2023.
Relatives said they could never forgive Wilson for his actions, saying his lack of remorse and cowardice in denying meant he did not deserve forgiveness.
“The family do not feel that there should be any alternative to Christopher Wilson’s punishment other than a lengthy custodial sentence,” they said.
