Manchester United’s pursuit of Randal Kolo Muani has just gotten even more difficult as their search for a striker goes on. The Red Devils are desperate to add attacking recruits to their squad this January amid ongoing goalscoring woes. PSG star Kolo Muani has emerged as a potential option for United after failing to earn opportunities in the French capital this term.

But a deal for his signature might be difficult. Premier League rivals Aston Villa have emerged as contenders for the Frenchman amid a potential swap deal for Jhon Duran. And there could now even be more competition for the forward from Juventus. Director of the Italian club Cristiano Giuntoli has opened up on their reported interest, admitting their admiration but has remained tight-lipped on any move.

Asked specifically about Kolo Muani and another reported target Ronald Araujo, he replied: “These are two good players, but the transfer window is only just opening and we hope to get some positive news over the next week. “Juve are always under the spotlight and every month feels decisive. We are aware that we started from scratch with a young squad, setting ourselves out onto a virtuous economic path, but trusting we can soon be competitive,” he added.
