RASMUS HOJLUND hit back a troll on social media after the Manchester United striker received "disturbing" criticism, according to claims online. Pictures circulating on social media appear to show Hojlund direct message a Man Utd fan on Instagram after criticism of his move to Old Trafford.
Hojlund, 21, has drawn criticism from his own fans since his £64m move from Atalanta last summer. The Danish forward is yet to find consistent goal-scoring form, scoring just twice from 13 league appearances this term. As such, one supporter took aim at the Denmark international in a strongly worded Instagram post.
The frustrated United fan claimed that "Erik ten Hag needs to be trialled in court for the signing", as well as labelling Hojlund's close control as a "trampoline touch". Since the troll's post, it has been claimed online that Hojlund direct messaged the supporter to highlight his displeasure at the fans' assessment of his form.
In a screenshot showing a message from Hojlund's Instagram account, the striker is claimed to have written: "Hi, I find your post a bit disturbing mate. "You are right to have your opinion, but stop talking about things you know nothing about. That is all".
Fans on social media backed Hojlund for standing up for himself after the messages appeared online. FOOTBALL FREE BETS AND SIGN UP DEALS. One wrote: "This doesn't make sense. I feel for Rasmus". While another added: "Well done Rasmus. The majority of supporters are with you and hope you succeed".
