Man Utd stars pick their side after Marcus Rashford's public transfer bombshell

Marcus Rashford has left Manchester United's dressing room frustrated after revealing he wants to leave the club. The United academy product has been left out of Ruben Amorim's last two squads, with Rashford's bombshell statement coming out in the aftermath of United's derby win over Manchester City.
It had already been suggested that the Red Devils were open to the 27-year-old's exit, even as soon as January. Now, Rashford seems destined to depart, though his £350,000-per-week contract which runs until 2028 could prove problematic. "For me, personally, I think I'm ready for a new challenge and the next steps," Rashford said. "When I leave it's going to be 'no hard feelings'. You're not going to have any negative comments from me about Manchester United. That's me as a person.".
Rashford's public declaration has not went down well in the dressing room, the Sun have reported. A portion of the squad are said to be dismayed by the comments, which served as a distraction following their statement win over Pep Guardiola's side. Despite Rashford's trajectory seeming to head away from Old Trafford, Amorim has so far remained supportive of the player. Despite leaving him out of the matchday group, the former Sporting CP coach has suggested he would like the academy product to stay.
Amorim said: “This kind of club needs big talent and he’s a big talent, so he just needs to perform at the highest level and that is my focus. I just want to help Marcus. “We are better with Marcus Rashford, that is simple and we will try different things to push Marcus to the best levels he showed in the past. And that’s all.”.
