Perplexed callers took to social media earlier this week after noticing the male voice behind Manchester Civil Justice Centre's automated message sounded like 'a gameshow host'.
A video, shared on X by bemused caller @josephtiman, showcases a bizarre 70-second recording, prompting hundreds of Brits to poke fun at the 'unhinged' voice, which 'gets worse the longer you listen'.
The post of the recording was accompanied by a comment which said: 'The man in the automated message on the Manchester Civil Justice Centre phone number genuinely sounds unhinged.
Only 13 seconds into the recording, the male voice states the opening hours of the Civil Court Counter while speaking in a southern, received pronunciation accent.
