Manchester United eye swap deal involving Chelsea striker target and Marcus Rashford

Napoli are looking to tempt Manchester United with a stunning swap deal involving Marcus Rashford and Victor Osimhen. Rashford appears to have been deemed surplus to requirements by new United manager Ruben Amorim. The 27-year-old has hardly featured under Erik ten Hag’s successor and although he returned to the matchday squad for Monday’s defeat against Newcastle, he does not feature in Amorim’s long-term plans.
Rashford has already received money spinning offers from clubs in Saudi Arabia but wants to remain in Europe to aid his chances of returning to the international fold. According to The Sun, Napoli are carefully monitoring Rashford’s situation and could offer Osimhen as bait.
The Nigeria international has long-been coveted by Chelsea and appeared destined for a move to Stamford Bridge in the summer. Instead, however, with no European club able to match their valuation, the former Lille star ended up joining Galasaray on loan.

Osimhen does have a £62 million clause in his contract and that has opened up the possibility of a move to Old Trafford this month in a deal that could see Rashford move to Italy.
Antonio Conte, whose side are level on points at the top of Serie A, is said to be a keen admirer of Rashford who hasn’t started a game for United since December 1. Were Rashford to join Napoli he would be reunite with former United teammate who has relaunched his career in Italy.
