Our lunch habits during the workday can be a mixed bag. Although we might aim for a healthy balance by packing our lunch box with fruits and veggies, sometimes those pesky processed goodies or sweet treats manage to sneak their way in. But top health experts are adamant that sticking to nutritional nosh significantly boosts your job performance by sharpening your concentration and bolstering both productivity and mental wellbeing.

Groundbreaking research from the University of British Columbia has shone a light on the of perks that come from munching on healthy meals. "Promoting and/or offering physical activity and proper nutrition at the workplace has been shown to increase activity and improve dietary choices both during and outside of work hours. "Further, diet quality and activity levels together play major roles in a person's overall quality of life." It's true, an impressive lunch spread can earn you serious kudos from your workmates – unless, of course, you're the bloke who became internet-famous for all the wrong reasons.

When a picture of his rather pitiful lunch went viral after a colleague blasted it online – this guy's culinary choices were anything but applause-worthy. The image, originally posted on X, captured the attention of over 1.3 million viewers, sparking thousands of chuckles and omments. Many couldn't help but laugh at the sorry sight packed within his lunchbox. A fella's lunchbox, filled with plain rice and three bangers but no condiments for his meat, has left folks gobsmacked. One wag quipped: "Better than going hungry." Another teased: "Can just taste the flavours looking at the picture", complete with a chuckle emoji.
