Married At First Sight 2025: Viewers notice major editing fail in promo: 'Did someone do a runner?'

Married At First Sight has always delivered drama, but 2025 is gearing up to be the most chaotic season in the show's history. Channel Nine unveiled a sneak peek of the 2025 cast on Monday, which included several faces who have appeared on reality TV before and the series' oldest couple to date.
While the majority of the cast left lasting impressions on fans, some couldn't help but notice teachers Jake Luik and Tim Gromie weren't as perfect as the others. Daily Mail Australia can reveal that the two grooms were absent from the promotional photoshoot, leaving producers scrambling to Photoshop their images.
The images used were producers' personal snaps taken on both of their wedding days. Sources close to production claim Jake, 30, and Tim, 38, flat-out refused to participate in publicity day, causing headaches for the show's marketing team. Married At First Sight fans couldn't help but notice the badly photoshopped images of grooms Jake Luik [L] and Tim Gromie [R] during Monday's cast announcement post.
'Jake called in sick with an ear infection and couldn't attend on doctor's orders,' an insider dished. 'It's a shame because his storyline was shaping up to be a fan favourite'. Meanwhile, Melbourne-based Tim reportedly wanted 'nothing to do with the show anymore' after he wrapped filming.
