Masked Singer fans spot major clue that 'reveals' Snail is 90s music icon

Viewers of The Masked Singer UK think they've cracked the case where Snail is concerned on the ITV series. Fans think they have rumbled the identity of the star under the mask, and it could be big music star. In fact, fans are sure Snail is a member of a band who was huge in the 90s and 00s, a key part of music in this era.
The familiar vocals and the clues given left fans sure they were about to see someone very familiar unmasked as Snail. Previous clues included being "worldly", references to lace and space, and having a "slow start". There were also clues about a competition, being schooled, "dreams that glittered and sparkled" and royal celebrations. Their latest performance saw them sing Hold On by Wilson Phillips while new clues included "taking her time" and being a "slow burner". There was a photo of Blue singer Duncan James, and Snail referenced wooden boards possibly linked to theatre.
She also mentioned "making the cut," and said "it's all coming back to me" while waving a white flag. The camera also zoomed in on some peaches. Fans watching the episode were sure it was none other than Andrea Corr from the hit band The Corrs. Taking to X, one viewer said: "I’m convinced Andrea Corr is the snail." Another added: "Snail is Andrea Corr," as a third posted: "No doubt Snail is Andrea Corr.".
It comes after last weekend saw Carol Decker's Tattoo in the sing-off against Dressed Crab, however it was the latter that judging panel Mo Gilligan, Davina McCall, Maya Jama and Jonathan Ross as well as guest judge Tom Daley chose to save. It makes her the fourth celebrity to be unmasked on the series, following Kate Garraway as Spag Bol, Prue Leith as Pegasus and Macy Gray as Toad in the Hole.
