Meghan Markle has revealed her Netflix series has been postponed at the last minute as she navigates a heartbreaking tragedy. The streaming platform announced that With Love, Meghan, which has been produced by the Duchess of Sussex, will be delayed due to the devastation caused by the Los Angeles wildfires.

Many have supported Meghan's decision after she explained in a statement that she will be focusing on "the needs of those impacted by the wildfires in my home state of California". However, some critics have hit back questioning her motives for the delay, saying the show must go on. But one insider has revealed that Meghan did not have to think twice about pushing back the series from screens for a few weeks - explaining "we're dealth with a catastrophe".

They told People magazine: "Delaying the release of With Love, Meghan was likely an easy decision for her. I don't think she could imagine putting out a show centered on joy and hosting when so many people in her home state no longer have homes to host people in.

"I think it's sad that critics are saying she's only doing this to avoid the fires overshadowing her show. We're all human, and we're dealing with a catastrophe.". It comes as one PR expert told the Mirror that Meghan would have had no choice but to delay the project if she wanted to avoid being branded "tone deaf". PR and personal branding expert Mayah Riaz explained: "Given the severity of the wildfires, which have resulted in loss of life and property, proceeding with the show's original release date could have been perceived as insensitive.
