Married At First Sight groom Dave Hand captured the love of the nation with his heart of gold when he stepped onto Australian screens on Tuesday night. And it seems the 'TikTok tradie', 36, who stands at a whopping 6'7" tall, is just as sweet in real life, as one influencer has come forward with an astounding story about how he rescued her 'in the street'.

Melbourne-based Teri Kearns revealed on Instagram while watching Dave's episode that the towering, tatted-up tradie saved her from a man who was 'harassing' her. 'I met Dave because I was getting harassed by a man in the street and he came up and pretended to know me and got rid of him,' Teri wrote.

She was so grateful for the rescue and enamoured by Dave's kindness that the pair became fast friends. Sharing a photo of the pair posing with bright smiles on the beach in their athleisure wear, Teri revealed the pair started 'doing 75 hard together' after the incident.
