Micah Parsons divides opinion with controversial Joe Burrow statement after Bengals QB's heroics vs Broncos

Micah Parsons is convinced Joe Burrow is the best player in the NFL right now after the Cincinnati Bengals quarterback inspired a overtime win over the Denver Broncos on Saturday night. Burrow continued his stellar season after completing 39 of his 49 passes for 412 yards and three touchdowns - including the game-winner in overtime - to keep the Bengals' playoff hopes alive.
The 28-year-old has at least 250 yards passing and three touchdowns in eight straight games, extending his NFL record. And despite the fact Cincinnati (8-8) don't have a winning record, Parsons has argued Burrow's case for the coveted Most Valuable Player award.
In fact, the Dallas Cowboys star believes it should not even be up for debate if he propels his team into the postseason. He posted on X after the Bengals' win over the Broncos: 'If Joe burrow takes this team to the playoffs I don’t even think it should be in question who’s MVP!! God damm! Best in the world rn!'.

Parsons's call for Burrow to be a serious MVP contender divided opinion on social media, with some rubbishing his suggestion while pointing to what they believe are more credible options. One user replied: 'bulls***! Lamar [Jackson] is and it’s not even a debate! burrow is throwing to 2 top 10 WR on rookie contracts!'.
