Michael van Gerwen's X-rated comment on reaching darts final forces Sky Sports into apology

Sky Sports were forced to quickly apologise after Michael van Gerwen swore live on air after beating Chris Dobey in the semi-final of the World Darts Championship. Van Gerwen, 35, exclaimed during his post-game interview: "I've won f*** all yet." Sky Sports then apologised for the Dutchman's foul-mouthed comment which is likely to land him a fine from the Darts Regulation Authority.
The three-time PDC world champion champion will now face either Luke Littler or Stephen Bunting in Friday's final at Alexandra Palace. "I can be happy with the performance. Of course, I wasn't playing as explosive as I did in the last game," Van Gerwen said at the start of his interview.
"I'm here with a mission, with a target. As part of it, you're always going to have ups and downs. We're not even close yet. We're so far away yet. The title is far away. That's what you have to keep telling yourself. I want to keep battling while I've got everything in my body. It's my life.
"But that can wait until tomorrow. I haven't won f*** all yet. It's going to be incredible. The crowd's loving it, the people at home are loving it. This is darts at a high level. I can be happy with the performance. Of course I wasn't playing as explosive as I was in the last game, but I was efficient.
The former eight-year world No.1 went on to say: "When I had to do things, I did it at the right moment and that's what you have to do if you want to win games. I love what I do, I love performing on this stage. It's my passion, it's my life - after family. I really enjoyed it.".
