While many were partying late into the night, Nottingham Forest duo Anthony Elanga and Morgan Gibbs-White hit the ski slopes to celebrate New Year's Eve. Two days after Forest's 2-0 win over Everton - where Gibbs-White scored and Elanga picked up an assist - the duo were snapped at a plush resort with their girlfriends.

Gibbs-White's partner, Britney De Villiers, shared a picture of the Forest stars - with grins across their faces - sat at a bench atop a mountain on her Instagram story. She also shared a group picture where the duo posed again, with Elanga joined by his girlfriend China Navana, with the caption: 'NYE with the best people'.

Neither of the Forest stars - who have been integral to the side's success in the league this season - will have risked injury by skiing on the trip. Both players have played a key role in Nuno Espirito Santo's side sitting second in the Premier League table, just eight points behind leaders Liverpool.

So similar are the duo both on and off the pitch that Gibbs-White and Elanga both have three goals and three assists each in the league campaign thus far. With 16 teams in action on Boxing Day and the other four playing on December 27, most Premier League stars will have had to take it easy on Christmas Day.
