Missing Alaska plane: Jet and bodies found amid desperate search after flight vanishes A plane which matches the description of one reported missing with ten people aboard has been found.
Speaking on Friday, David Olson, director of operations for the airline, said: "Staff at Bering Air are working hard to gather details, get emergency assistance, search and rescue going.
It was reported a Bering Air Caravan had gone missing while en route from Unalakleet to Nome, with nine passengers and one pilot on board.
Cameron Snell, a spokesperson for the US Coast Guard, said crews had not been able to fully open the plane found on sea ice in Alaska.
Earlier, the Nome Volunteer Fire Department said in a statement: "We are currently responding to a report of a missing Bering Air caravan.
