Missing twins wrote puzzling note to landlady before vanishing near river – as brother tells of ‘strange’ behaviour

TWO missing twins wrote a puzzling note to their landlady before vanishing near a river. The brother of Eliza and Henrietta Huszti, 32, has described his sisters' strange behaviour prior to their disappearance on January 7. The pair were last seen on CCTV on Market Street at Victoria Bridge in Aberdeen at around 2.12am.

An urgent police search has seen specialist resources utilised, including helicopters, a dog branch and the marine unit. Their brother József said they did not tell their family about their decision to move out of their rented flat. He told the BBC: "They wrote a message to their landlady that they wanted to immediately end their tenancy agreement.

"We didn't have any information about that. "So that's the strange thing, that the girls didn't tell us anything about that. They never mentioned any such plan.". József said they had a 40-minute conversation with their mum the previous Saturday and everything seemed normal.

On the night they went missing, the sisters crossed the bridge and then turned right onto a footpath next to the River Dee. They were heading in the direction of Aberdeen Boat Club - and there is no evidence they left the immediate area. József added that his siblings - who were part of a set of triplets - were in financial trouble.
