EMOTIONAL Jamie Lee Curtis had to fight back tears live on the Jimmy Fallon show, saying her home is ‘possibly’ on fire in the LA ‘catastrophe.’. The Pacific Palisades, a haven for A-Lister types, has been hit by the horrific infernos with firefighters battling to get the blazes under control.
Some five people so far have died in the historic fires - with at least five separate blazes spreading across the Palisades, Eaton, Hurst, Lidia, and Woodley. And actress Jamie Lee has now revealed her heartbreak over the inferno, and said: “I’m literally just about to cry, mostly because of that beautiful welcome.”.
She then turned to the live audience, adding: “As you know, where I live is on fire right now, literally the entire city of the Pacific Palisades is burning.”. Jamie’s voice quivered as she spoke, as she welled up and told Jimmy and the show: “It’s f*****g gnarly, you guys. It’s just a catastrophe.
“Many, many, many, many friends now have lost their homes.”. “My community and possibly my home is on fire. My family is safe. Many of my friends will lose their homes. Many other communities as well. “We ALL take everything for granted because we are all living our lives but when it hits your community, it’s particularly shocking.”.
A string of famous faces have lost their homes in the horrific blaze. Leighton Meester and Adam Brody's mansion, where they lived with their two young children, was reduced to smoking rubble. Chilling pictures showed its roof completely vanished and the walls eroded by flames, with plumes of black smoke pouring from what was left of the building.
