Jamie Lee Curtis was finally allowed to go back into her Pacific Palisades home following the devastating and deadly LA fires two weeks ago. The Last Showgirl star, 66, shared a video of a blue jay drinking from a stone water bowl in her backyard. The dichotomy of the life of the bird amid so much loss from the fires was not lost on the Halloween actress.
'We made it back to our intact house,' her Instagram caption began. 'As we were leaving and thanking the security teams and local boys, this beautiful bluebird reminder of the nature and wildlife that live among us in our canyon was surviving in the midst of this terrible, terrifying and horrific wildfire that has taken so much, so violently,' she wrote.
Earlier this month, Jamie appeared on the Tonight Show With Jimmy Fallon and called the wildfires 'f***ing gnarly' and 'a really awful situation.'.
