Moment selfie-taking tourist is smashed by on-coming train while posing for a photo… and somehow survives

A selfie-taking tourist who posed with a moving train before being hit by the on-coming locomotive somehow managed to escape with her life, dramatic video shows. The holidaymaker called Lui was injured - but incredibly survived - the collision with the Alishan Forest Railway train in Chiayi, Taiwan, on December 14.
Footage shows the 55-year-old trying to capture a snap of herself with the train in the background. She moves around to get the right angle, and edges too close to the tracks. The train driver honks the vehicle's horn as they desperately try to alert the tourist, but she continues to focus on her selfie.
The front corner of the driver's carriage then connects with Lui's shoulder and sends her tumbling to the ground. The train operator immediately stopped the train to check on the tourist. Local media reported that Lui sustained an injury to her left foot from the collision.
