UK supermarkets tempted customers with bargain prices during the festive season, with reduced items still up for grabs post-Christmas. Morrisons has kicked it up a notch by rolling out an enhanced price match pledge to beat its competitors. The retail giant has updated its list of best-selling essentials that match prices with Aldi and Lidl, available both in-store and on their website.

Starting from today, Wednesday, January 1, 2025, punters will spot over 500 everyday must-haves lining the shelves at unbeatable rates. Common picks such as olive oil, coffee, eggs, single cream, and pasta sauce are now set to fly off the shelves in all 498 Morrisons outlets across the UK, reports the Express.

The Morrisons Price Match range includes everyday items such as Morrisons Full Roast Coffee at £1.85, Olive Oil for £7.29, and British Single Cream priced at £1.98. Shoppers can also find bargains like six-pack eggs for £1.99, four pints of semi-skimmed milk at £1.45, and pasta sauce for just 69p.

Other essentials like carrots, onions, bread, squash, pasta, flour, and bananas are all part of the deal, with prices reviewed twice weekly to ensure competitiveness. According to a Morrisons spokesperson, the supermarket reviews its Price Match items twice weekly and adjusts prices if necessary to stay competitive.

These savings are available in-store, online, and via click-and-collect, but not on third-party platforms like Amazon and Deliveroo, a Morrisons spokesperson confirmed. Gareth Lloyd, Head of Price at Morrisons, said: "We're starting 2025 by doubling down on value for our customers. Expanding our Price Match means more of the essentials and brands customers love at the prices they expect, with the quality they trust from Morrisons.".
