MARKS and Spencer has revealed its popular Valentine's Day meal deal is returning - and it starts from just £12.50 per person. The three-course line up includes luxurious dishes like lobster and wagyu beef and even a bottle of fizz. Hitting stores on February 10, there are more than a dozen new additions to the Valentine's Day menu this year.
As part of the dine-in deal, shoppers can pick from a starter, main, side and dessert, along with a bottle of wine or prosecco, or a soft drink if preferred. M&S says the deal can save you as much as £17.50 compared to buying the items individually and there are 30 different items to choose from.
Among the starters on offer are a baking burrata with an nduja and ciabatta crumb, king prawn and lobster thermidor gratins and Coquilles St Jacques - a cheesy and creamy scallop dish. Meanwhile for a main there's British wagyu beef pie and fillet steak beef wellington.
Salmon en croute, salt and pepper wedges, loaded mash potato and lemon posset are also new to the menu for February 14. There are gluten free, vegan and vegetarian options available too, such as dumpling bao buns and butternut squash and spinach pie. There's good news for shoppers too as the £25 dine-in deal is the same price as last year.
Prior to that, the three-course meal cost £20. M&S' Valentine's Day deal is on shelves at its more than 300 Simply Food stores and foodhalls until February 14. But it's worth bearing in mind that the dine-in deal is always popular and items can sell out, so it's worth getting there earlier to avoid missing out.
