Police were called on Sunday 18 August, when Jason Flore, 26, of no fixed abode, and Stephanie Marie, 19, were witnesses arguing at the station.
Flore then called 999 to report that Ms Marie had been stabbed and had stopped breathing before he was seen leaving the scene walking his dog.
He was convicted of murder on Wednesday, 19 February, after being found guilty by a jury following a two-and-a-half-week trial at Hove Crown Court.
A murderer was filmed walking his dog moments after murdering his partner at Crawley railway station last year.
