In a post on Reddit, the woman said her cousin - whom she gave the fake name Emily - wanted to use her wedding to tell everyone that she was now engaged to her partner, so would be having her own wedding soon.
This is why one woman was left gobsmacked when her cousin asked if she could make an "announcement" during her wedding at the end of this month.
The bride-to-be said she agreed to listen to her cousin's request as she didn't want to be unreasonable, but when she told her what the announcement would be, she was horrified.
She wrote: "I congratulated her but immediately told her that my wedding day wasn’t the right time or place for her announcement.
