A mum has opened up about her unusual dinner time routine with her daughter which has been dubbed as "strange" online. Most of us will remember finishing a long day of school and being bursting to know what is for tea. Some parents bring a snack after school for their children to please them until teatime, while others have tea prepared before they arrive home so they can enjoy it straight away.

Many wait until the whole family can sit down around the table; it is a good way to catch up at the end of the day. After school activities and clubs can also affect dinner times, so different routines work for different families. But, one mum named Nicole, said her daughter "can't wait" until she gets home for tea, so she prepares her a meal to eat in the car. Despite school being just 10 minutes from their home, the parent said she worries "she won't eat dinner" if she gives her a snack after school, and she is too hungry to not get fed straight away.

Nicole took to her TikTok page recently @nicole.alder1, where she boasts over 34,000 followers, and shared a video of her making a dinner to take on the school run. The mum served up rice, a tin of sweetcorn and six chicken dippers. Nicole said: "It's that time again when we make a full school dinner on the school run, then she eats that in the car, then she can snack until her heart is content." In another video, Nicole added: "She going to eat it in the car on her way home from school, because that's what she likes doing.".

After being flooded with comments and questions, Nicole explained that the reason she does this is because her daughter is "so hungry" when comes out of school. She added: "So if I give her dinner then she can snack all evening and I don't worry that she won’t eat dinner it works well.".
