Netflix adds black comedy series that was 'left in limbo' and fans are all saying the same thing Netflix is set to welcome a fan-favourite black comedy to its roster with the arrival of Sick Note this coming Monday, February 10.
The show's creator and writer, Nat Saunders, took to Twitter in 2021 to describe the series as "neither recommissioned or cancelled, just in TV show limbo" when quizzed about its future.
Originally premiering in 2017 on Sky One, Sick Note made headlines when it was announced that a second series had been greenlit even before the first had hit the screens.
Embracing the format, Iamstephano chimed in with their take: "I thought it was pretty funny most of the time, if the episodes were longer it probably wouldn't work as well, it's pretty easy to binge a bunch of episodes without it becoming stale.".
James Serafinowicz, who co-wrote the series, shared similar sentiments, revealing that they "wrote the first 2 episodes of season 3 but nothing ever happened".
