Netflix fans threaten to ‘contact police’ after spotting 00s classic is leaving soon

Film fans have been left devastated after realizing that one of the most iconic 00s movies is about to leave Netflix. Mamma Mia was released in 2008 and became an instant hit, starring Meryl Streep, Pierce Brosnan, Amanda Seyfried, Colin Firth, Dame Julie Walters, Christine Baranski and many more.
It followed bride-to-be Sophie (Amanda) inviting three of her mom Donna’s (Meryl) former flings to her wedding in Greece, in the hopes of finally discovering who her father is. The musical sparked an equally popular sequel, which hit our screens in 2018, and there has been intense speculation that we could get a third helping very soon.
However, many were furious to realize that the beloved flick is leaving the streaming platform in just a matter of days. Netflix bosses slapped a ‘leaving soon’ sticker across the movie poster, and confirmed that the ‘last day to watch’ Mamma Mia is on January 6.
Movie lovers were raging over the update and flocked to social media to unpack the news. Rockrrylvr yelled: ‘THEYRE TAKING CLUELESS OFF OF NETFLIX???? AND MAMMA MIA TOO???’. Shiny Sapphire agreed: ‘I can not believe they are taking Clueless and Mamma Mia away from me. How could you Netflix?’.
‘They’re gonna take Mamma Mia down from Netflix [sic],’ Sam wrote. As Tam vowed: ‘Mamma Mia has a “leaving soon” sticker on Netflix. I will be contacting the police.’. Mamma Mia, directed by Phyllida Lloyd, was a huge success at the global box office when it was released nearly 20 years ago, grossing $611million worldwide.
