Netflix viewers have been screaming out loud for a new competition series after the success of Squid Game season two and now they have a new show in the form of Bear Grylls' survival series Celebrity Bear Hunt. The show sees 12 famous faces thrust into the Costa Rican jungle, but scarier than any wild animal, is Bear himself who is attempting to hunt them down. As they tackle various challenges as well as living together for two and a half weeks, the celebrities must try and avoid the dreaded 'Bear Pit' which will plunge them into hell before being eliminated.

After the series debuted on Netflix today (February 5), fans have already tuned in and flocked to social media to share their initial reactions. Posting on Instagram, one fan expressed: "First episode was mad! So excited to binge watch the rest of the season as soon as I can.". Another subscriber commented: "I've watched the whole thing today, it was very enjoyable," alongside a fire flame emoji. Somebody else wrote on the social media site: "@netflixuk can't wait to watch the rest of the series, the first episode was brilliant.".

Yet another enthused: "What an incredible and intriguing concept! I'm absolutely thrilled and can't wait to see more episodes.". The celebrities that are part of the show are Spice Girl's Mel B, tennis legend Boris Becker, interior design expert Laurence Llewelyn-Bowen, journalist Steph McGovern and former rugby player Danny Cipriani. Also hoping to survive are Strictly Come Dancing judge Shirley Ballas, rapper Big Zuu, The Saturdays star Una Healy and The Inbetweeners actor Joe Thomas.

Rounding out the line-up are model Lottie Moss, actor Kola Bokinni and fashion model Leomie Anderson, while Holly Willoughby is presenting the epic show. The show was filmed last year in the Costa Rican jungle in Central America, with the celebrities having to brave the weather and all of the scary aspects of the jungle from animals to bugs. The jungle is a dense forest with many trees that grow close together and leafy vines that connect the dots.

It's also filled with animals that have free range to roam around and often sounds of the animals singing, chattering and calling to each other can be heard. The 12 stars were also tasked with living together in a house not far from the jungle, meaning spending 24 hours a day together would no doubt cause clashes and arguments. Celebrity Bear Hunt is now streaming on Netflix. Obsessed with Netflix? Get the latest headlines, releases and insider-gossip direct to your inbox with our Binge-worthy newsletter.
