New reasons emerge for Anthony Joshua's brutal KO defeat by Daniel Dubois

Anthony Joshua's trainer Ben Davison has revealed several things went "wrong" in preparation for the Brit's heavyweight dust-up with Daniel Dubois. The British star was looking to become a heavyweight world champion for a third time in his career earlier this year against 'Triple D,' but was brutally beaten. Joshua was knocked down four times in total before suffering a devastating knockout in the fifth round of their clash at Wembley Stadium.
After suffering the fourth defeat of his professional career back in September, the 35-year-old insists he's not ready to call it a day just yet and believes he has the ability to become a world champion again. However, it's now back to the drawing board for 'AJ' ahead of his planned return to the squared-circle next year.
Following the defeat to Dubois, famous boxing trainer Davison has provided a clear reason as to why Joshua suffered an agonising defeat to 'Triple D.' He told talkSPORT: “I know that among ourselves we know where some things went wrong.". He added: "It’s important for us that we don’t look like we are making excuses. But there are things that went wrong that we could have done a better job within and around. And closer to, the fight. You can’t point the blame, we’ve got to own it. We’ve got to wear it. And that’s what we’ve done.”.
Turki Alalshikh has recently revealed his plans for the heavyweight division. Speaking to The Stomping Ground after Tyson Fury's clash with Oleksandr Usyk, His Excellency shared his thoughts on the fight, saying: “I think he [Usyk] won, I counted and he had four rounds more. Tyson did everything, he had an amazing fight but this is boxing: there is a winner and a loser.".
