Novak Djokovic hilariously dealt with a heckler following his victory over Tomas Machac at the Australian Open. Djokovic, who is a 24-time Grand Slam champion, which includes 10 triumphs in Melbourne, beat the Czech star 6-1 6-4 6-4 in the third round on Friday.
During the clash, the Serb was forced to overcome adversity and faced some crowd hostility from those inside the Rod Laver Arena, something that has been a feature of the tournament. This came after Danielle Collins slapped her backside and blew kisses to hecklers following her victory over home hopeful Destanee Aiava on Thursday, before the American later boasted about her 'big fat $180,000 (£147,000)' pay cheque.
Collins was subsequently booed by those in attendance, who she accused of being 'super drunk', but Djokovic decided to act differently in his on-court interview. As he begun to discuss his game, a largely incoherent heckler shouted something in the direction of the Serb.

Instead of biting back at the barb, Djokovic calmly replied: 'Sorry mate, I have a wife. We can have a drink though... maybe you had a few already.'. This left the interviewer in stitches, before Djokovic added: 'Him and I were going back-and-forth for quite a while actually.'.
