Shoppers have been quick to voice their displeasure, with many taking to social media to question why the Egg Protein Pot has gained so much popularity.

One user on X (formerly Twitter) said: "Egg? Over crisps of chocolate??". While another branded the choice "sick" and questioned, "Who the f*** is buying that?". The egg-based snack, which has been described by some as a "fart in a tub," has sparked a wave of criticism, with many wondering how it beat out traditional favourites like crisps or chocolates.
One particularly vocal shopper shared: "The men in the office I work in must have pushed the egg protein pot up there as a nation's favourite, they buy like 2 a day.". While others have shared their own disbelief, saying, "What psycho is walking around and thinks, 'Hmm, could go for egg in a pot right now?'".
