Grinding your way through Path of Exile 2 is about to get more rewarding with today's update, which is set to shower players with more rewards and fights with monsters and bosses alike that will feel a lot more balanced. Path of Exile 2 patch 0.1.1 releases this week, with a laundry list of changes set for the early access title. Grinding Gear Games has been deploying frequent updates since it launched last December, which are usually followed by an avalanche of hotfixes to finetune things after the fact. And they come thick and fast, with a smattering of them in the hours following the updates.
We're in for a pretty beefy update this week, with Path of Exile 2 patch 0.1.1 – the game's second update of 2025 – and it's a doozy. GGG has some big changes in store, with new endgame tower maps, checkpoints for map areas, monster and boss changes that'll make things a tad less gruelling; like the Arbiter of Ash now offering players up to six respawn attempts!.
We've got the full patch notes below, and as for the Path of Exile 2 patch 0.1.1 release date and time, the update will drop either today, January 16 or tomorrow, Friday, January 17, depending on your time zone. While the release time itself hasn't been confirmed, we've looked at past updates for the game to make our best guess at the Path of Exile 2 patch 0.1.1 release time, but bear in mind this isn't official just yet. Of course, we'll update the details if GGG drops them!.
