Peter Crouch has named the one player he believes has been a standout performer for Tottenham this season. After leading the club to a fifth-placed finish in the Premier League last season, Ange Postecoglou has struggled to build on the success of his maiden Premier League campaign.
Spurs currently find themselves 15th in the table, and have won just one of their last ten games in the league. A host of injuries to key players have wreaked havoc with the Australian's plans in recent weeks as the club continue to attempt to compete in four competitions.
Ahead of the club's clash with Hoffenheim on Thursday, Crouch claimed Dejan Kulusevski's performances have served as a rare bright spot in an otherwise dismal period for the club. 'Yeah, he's changed every game.' Crouch said of the Sweden international on TNT Sports.
Peter Crouch insisted Dejan Kulusevski has been a 'shining light' amid Tottenham's recent struggles. The north London club are without a win in their last six Premier League games and are currently 15th in the table. Owen Hargreaves added that Ange Postecoglou is 'fortunate' Kulusevski has been so consistent.
'I mean, even the Rangers game, I think he had to come on and and score, he's been a breath of fresh air. 'When there's a real struggle for confidence in certain key players, he's been the one shining light that just says "give me the ball" in every situation, no matter if they were struggling.'.
