PlayStation has said on its X page: 'We are aware some users might be currently experiencing issues with PSN.'.

According to Downdetector, the issues first started around 11pm last night with up to 14,000 reports of outages at the time.

As a result, gamers have been left unable to play online aspects of games such as Fortnite, Call of Duty, Grand Theft Auto and Marvel Rivals.
