PlayStation network outage leaves gamers locked out of online services worldwide PlayStation users worldwide have been left unable to access online gaming services following a major network outage that began on Friday evening.
The disruption has affected multiple services including account management, gaming, social features, PlayStation Video, PlayStation Store and the PlayStation Direct website, according to Sony's status page.
More than 71,000 users reported issues to DownDetector as the problems started just before midnight, with players unable to access popular online games including Fortnite, Call of Duty, Grand Theft Auto and Marvel Rivals.
The timing has particularly affected Call of Duty players, who are missing out on a promotional double XP weekend across Black Ops 6 and Warzone.
Jeff Thigpen, 48, from Dallas, told the BBC: "Tonight I tried and was unable to play any of the games I purchased.
