The woman, using the X username @ParamedicEm, posted on the app at around 11.45pm on Wednesday, stating: "Awful what’s going on in Plymouth. Thoughts with the victims and my colleagues who are having to deal with it all." She ended the post with a broken heart emoji and an emoji of an ambulance.
The mum referred to alarming scenes in West Hoe, Plymouth, where emergency services have descended on a residential road. Devon and Cornwall Police confirmed a "serious assault" had happened late on Wednesday night, and eventually gave further detail in the early hours of Thursday.
But @ParamedicEm's harrowing tweet had alluded to victims, rather than a sole casualty, and suggested pramedics have encountered grim scenes. She shared her empathy with her "colleagues who are having to deal with it all" as the situation unfolded. Since the tweet was sent however, Devon and Cornwall Police stated only one person was hurt.
