Luke Littler headlines the eight-player list for the Premier League Darts this year, as the 17-year-old looks to retain the title he won in his first season in 2024. Littler is the name on everyone's lips in darts after winning the World Darts Championships at Alexandra Palace last week and he was always going to be a shoo-in for the exclusive line-up at the Premier League Darts.

Joining him is Michael van Gerwen, his beaten opponent in the Ally Pally final - while Luke Humphries - who beat him in last year's showdown - has also been included. Two other players Littler saw off at this year's Championships will also take part, with the popular Stephen Bunting and Nathan Aspinall both getting the nod.

Elsewhere, Chris Dobey - who reached the semi-finals of the tournament - will feature, as will former world champions Rob Cross and Gerwyn Price - completing eight huge names who are set to contest an eagerly-awaited competition. The exciting world championships have only wet the appetite for more mouthwatering darts contests, with Littler in particular bringing a whole legion of new fans to the sport.

Littler's final against Van Gerwen, which the teenager won 7-3, was watched by an average audience of 2.7m, with a peak of around 3.1m. Fans don't have to wait long for the Premier League Darts to kick off, with the opening night of the new season set to be held at the SSE Arena in Belfast on February 6. There will be a total of 17 venues in the tour in the UK and Ireland and Europe, with the culminating play-offs taking place at the O2 Arena in London on May 29.
