The 2025 Premier League Darts is right around the corner - and four players have already secured their spots in the competition. Luke Humphries, Luke Littler, Michael van Gerwen and Rob Cross have all been confirmed as participants in the blockbuster £1million tournament, which begins in February. An official announcement of the line-up isn't due until later in the month, but after Thursday night's thrilling World Darts Championship semi-finals at Alexandra Palace, the top four in the PDC Order of Merit have now been cemented.

Cross was sweating on the results of both games, as defeat for Littler or Van Gerwen would have meant that either Stephen Bunting or Chris Dobey would have taken fourth in the rankings. But after comprehensive 6-1 wins for Littler and MVG, the top four is now confirmed.

The other four spots will go to wildcards, selected by the PDC. This is how Littler, who was ranked outside the top 150 in the Order of Merit 12 months ago, was selected for last year's tournament. In terms of contenders, the ever-popular Bunting is in with a shout, as is Nathan Aspinall, who was beaten by the teenager in the quarters. Former world champions Michael Smith and Gerwyn Price are also in contention, as is fellow defeated World Championship semi-finalist Dobey.
