Princess Eugenie beams as she's seen for the first time since her sister Beatrice gave birth

Princess Eugenie looked fresh-faced as she wined and dined at a luxury french restaurant in London - just two weeks after her sister Beatrice gave birth to her second daughter. The royal, 34, enjoyed a night-out on Tuesday at La Maison Ani in Knightsbridge -a luxury French dining experience where a lobster salad costs £39, a bowl of truffle rigatoni costs £58 and a Veal Milanese costs £72. But there is good reason to celebrate as Eugenie recently became an auntie three times over when Princess Beatrice, 36, welcomed her second daughter Athena Elizabeth Rose with husband Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi, 41, on January 22 at 12.57pm.

Athena becomes the third child in Beatrice and Edo's brood alongside Wolfie, eight, from Edo's former engagement to Dara Huang, and Beatrice's three-year-old daughter Sienna. The baby was born several weeks early and is 11th in line to the throne, pushing her aunt Princess Eugenie down to 12th place. Having previously described their relationship as 'the best of friends', it is likely that Eugenie has been spending invaluable time with her sister in the post-partum period.

As a mother-of-two herself, she may have also been roped into the less glamorous duties that come hand-in-hand with a newborn. But the youngest York sister looked remarkably fresh-faced as she stepped out in the upscale London neighbourhood on Tuesday night. Princess Eugenie is all smiles as she leaves La Maison Ani in Knightsbirdge on Tuesday night. Putting her best fashion forward as she left the A-list establishment, Eugenie wore a simple white jumper and wide legged black trousers with matching boots.

To stave off the cold, she wore a tan trench coat with black accent buttons. The mother-of-two swept her auburn locks into a low ponytail and framed her make-up free face with dainty silver earrings. Last week, the Princess of York travelled to Saudi Arabia to visit The Diriyah Biennale Foundation in her capacity as director of Hauser and Wirth - a modern art gallery based in London's Savile Row. She took to Instagram last week to share several photographs of her trip to Jeddah - which was ultimately overshadowed when Buckingham Palace announced the birth of her niece Athena.

'The baby was born weighing 4 pounds and 5 ounces. 'The King and Queen, and other members of The Royal Family, have all been informed and are delighted with the news.

Reposting the baby announcement on her Instagram story, Princess Eugenie wrote 'welcome baby girl' to her new niece.

Princess Beatrice was last seen attending the Christmas Day Service in Sandringham with husband Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi and her stepson Christopher Woolf 'Wolfie' Mapelli Mozzi. Beatrice, who fondly refers to Wolfie as her 'bonus child', places a loving hand on the eight-year-old's back.
