It's currently one of the most fashionable drinks around, but one person's pint of Guinness has caused a stir online. X user Dom took to the platform to share a serving of the black stuff that his friend received while at Manchester's Co-op Live. However, instead of obtaining a perfectly poured pint of Irish stout, they got a drink that had a closer resemblance to 'chocolate milk'.
Taking to social media, Dom wrote: 'Guinness at Co-op Live,' alongside a crying face emoji. It was a serving that caused a storm in the comment section, with one likening the pint to a 'war crime'. Another user added: 'Nice pint of chocolate milk u got there matey.' A third agreed, adding: 'Looks like a McDonald’s chocolate milkshake.'.
Equally disgusted by the pint of Guinness, a fifth chimed in and said: 'Bushtucker trial that'. 'That is disgraceful,' a sixth person added in the comment section underneath Dom's post. A customer was left disappointed after purchasing a pint of Guinness at Co-op Live that looked more like 'chocolate milk'.
Meanwhile, bar owners are currently bracing themselves for Guinness shortages over the Christmas period as the drink enjoys a surge in popularity among Gen Z drinkers alongside pub veterans. Guinness lovers have said that they are fearing a Christmas without a pint of 'the black stuff' after a shortage was announced.
